Info 2 [HOWTO] FIX Shutdown/Restart Hangs for T-Mobile ICS 4.0.3 STOCK ROM

*WARNING!* I Am Not Responsible For Anything That Happens To Your Phone *WARNING!*

At the beginning I used Odin3 v. 1.85 to flash the T-Mobile ICS 4.0.3 stock ROM, since I had the hang issue I decided to try another method.

Here are what I did to fix the Shutdown/Restart hangs:
0-A backup on the external SD card (Backup all user apps+system data) in Titanium Pro
1-Fully charged the phone
2-Installed the stock ROM T989UVKL1 (Android 2.3.6) through Odin3 v. 1.85
3-Wiped cache & wiped data/factory reset twice in recovery mode
4-Upgraded to stock ROM ICS 4.0.3 via Kies windows version, it took about 30 mins to completed
5-Rooted the SGH-T989
6-A restore missing apps with data via Titanium Pro

I also froze the following apps via Titanium Pro:
411 & More
Asphalt
Blio eBooks
Bonus Apps
Buddies now
Files
Google+
IM
Media Hub
Memo
SMS/MMs Prefs
Mini diary
MobileLife Contacts
More for Me
My T-mobile
Netflix
Polaris Office
Samsung account
Slacker

Social Hub
Swype
T-Mobile Mail
T-Mobile Name
T-Mobile TV
T-Mobile Video Chat
Tags
Talk
TalkBack
Task
Task Manager
TeleNav
Voice Recorder
Bookmarks WE
Yahoo Finance
Zinio

My Galaxy SII is connected to SimpleMobile and I have nothing to complain about this new ROM;
vibrates like a 7.3 earthquake, shutdown & restart works without any issue, fast 4G Internet, good radio signal, gps locks quickly, good compass, good battery life, no echo, camera back & front work fine, bluetooth OK, WiFi OK.

100% working.
This stock ROM is very good and has a lot of features.[

Default Read Before You Flame!!!!!!!!

This is labeled as a "HOW TO" post and the last time I checked that was allowed in the "Development" section.

Fixing permissions is not always working with the hang on stock 4.0.3..READ!!

I really wish everyone @ XDA would be more appreciative to the time taken to try and help as a majority of us do NOTHING to contribute!!

To the OP: I'm glad I could give you your first "Thanks" even if your post was meaningless to me. You took your time and gave easy instructions...Thanks for contributing to the community

There is nothing new here. This is an elaborate way of posting wipe, flash, repeat. If one were to use the darkside wipe (already a sticky) before flashing there wouldn't be any problems. This is completely unnecessary and waste of time.

Here are the instructions:
1. Darkside wipe
2. (Optional) Flash ICS radio
3. Flash ROM
4. (Optional) Use Darkside cache wipe to wipe cache/dalvic if necessary (do not use recovery)

Spending 5 mins here would result in these findings
