Huawei Mediapad ICS update

Hi,

Has anyone managed to download the firmware update from Huawei's website here? I've been unable to download it for weeks now. The link seems to be down. Any mirrors?

I managed to download it after trying several times. However, I keep getting a FAIL when I follow the instructions, i.e. copy the dload directory to the root of my sdcard, insert it, press and hold volume down + power button.

And from the FAIL screen, I can only reboot back into the update screen, which fails again.

1. What have I done wrong?
2. Since the battery is fixed, how can I force shutdown?

Usually that happens if the download is corrupted. Try to redownload the fw again. Btw, have you tried to remove the SD card? If the SD card with dload folder (with relevant files inside) is inserted then it would always go to the update screen.

Thanks. Turns out there's something wrong with my sdcard. I don't know why - they're working perfectly fine in Windows or in other phones. Anyway, I tried a 3rd card and it worked.

make sure that your card is formatted to FAT32
