My SOFTKEY backlights stay ON ALL THE TIME--(which is what i prefer!) when i got SETTINGS and slide sacle up or down..HEN select AUTO...It will stay on when the screen is on..UNTIL reboot--then you need to repeat the priocess. Hope this helps/
