USB on keyboard dock is Sleep/Charge!

I don't know if this is "common knowledge" or not, but apparently the USB port on the keyboard dock is a Sleep/Charge port! I plugged in my HTC Rezound to the port & it started charging just like it was attached to my PC. The tablet was docked and turned off. I read about one person who had a Prime that could charge only if the tablet was docked & I read another person say they couldn't charge anything at all.

I don't know if the TF300 is different in that regard, I only checked charging with the tablet plugged in. I'll test charging with the tablet out this afternoon. My assumption is that it won't work. I figure the ports on the dock aren't active until tablet connection is made.

UPDATE: I tried to charge my phone with just the keyboard dock (no tablet inserted) and it didn't work. So apparently the tablet must be docked for the USB port to become active.

Nice. Pretty cool hidden feature for anyone with a dock. I wonder how much the tablets battery drains though charging a phone. Probably also extends the life while tethering.

I tried with my HD2 i got 50% charge in 40 minutes for 8% of the docks battery!
