Default BAD WiFi speeds on the A700.

Is anybody else getting really slow speeds on WiFi with this? The signal is great, but where on other WiFi and wired devices I get up to 35/6 (I have the Blast! Tier with Comcast, 20/4) I am struggling to get 2500 down and 2500 up on the A700. I noticed the downloads on the market taking way too long, so I download Ookla Speedtest and lo and behold, it wasn't my imagination. I may talk to Acer about this, hopefully an update will fix it.

I have an ASUS RT-N66U Router, and the Asus TF300 I just returned was easily pulling 30/5 on it. If there was a root method I could go in and check some things, make some adjustments, but we're not there yet.

Other than that, this tablet is AWESOME! The screen, WOW, I can't say enough at how beautiful it is, I will never be able to go back to anything less on a tablet screen after this has spoiled me

Hmm... I have the same router and decided to test. I placed both my A700 & Photon next to the router, connected to the same server, and ran Speedtest.

A700 11859kbps/11514kbps
Photon 11258kbps/5552kbps

I am getting 35/5 on my Galaxy Note i717, but like I said the Wifi speeds on the A700 are really slow, and it's the only device I have, wired or wireless getting those slow speeds. I may try a reset and see if that fixes it, but I don't think it will, I'm not sure why this is happening.

Okay, that was weird, the speeds are fine now, whatever the issue what it seems to have corrected itself. I just got 35200/6120 on it, I'm a happier camper now.

Could the A700 have been syncing something in the background? Facebook, Dropbox, Twitter, etc. going nuts?

I figured I'd help out on my new a700 using speed test...

So far several test show 37mb/5mb which is my normal speed.

This screen is great and not sure why they say dim but you can crank the brightness way up to the point of blinding, non issue.

My gf inherited my Galaxy Tab 10.1 officially.
