hi guys,, can anybody give me a link to the easiest tutorial of installing the most stable ICS for X8...if been wandering in every thread but i cant get any tutorial i cant understand if i found one please help ive been searching for a month now im sorry im a noob please hellpp

Well , before you start..
You need to root your phone.
Here's how you do it --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1046605

After you root , you need to unlock your bootloader. This is a risky thing and you might lose your phone.
If you do NOT unlock , you can still install custom ROMS but not all of them.
If you unlock your boot loader you can install any and every compatible kernel and ROM including ICS

Root , allows you to install custom ROMS (i.e custom Android versions)
Bootloader unlock allows you to install custom kernels (recommended if you want a stable ics)
