Question [Q] Create Stock OEM ROM

How do I create a stock / OEM ROM so I can have it to go back to if needed?

Thanks, but would this work if I ever wanted to go back to stock?

HTC Vivid™ for AT&T ROM Update | 03.22.2012

I mean that would get rid of of absolutely everything third-party making the Vivid just like it was when it was first turned on?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I am a noob at this.

Yes, just follow that tut...should work for all ruus...don't worry, I'm a noob too when it comes to HTC...this is my first HTC and I'm still trying to figure all this stuff out...just make sure you delete any apps before from system/app before you flash that you don't want

Doesn't the .exe file erase and re-partition everything? I am not using a SD card currently.

Follow the guide...you don't actually flash through the .exe file, you run the program and when you get to the first screen with choices click start/search>type in "%temp%" but with no quotes, search Rom.zip and take that out to you desktop...you will need linux (ubuntu) to continue from there...

If you flash from the .exe it will have tons of bloat and yes it will wipe everything

Titanium back up is your friend...download free version from play store and back up apps, put a copy of the back up on your pc in case you ever delete it on accident...
