Default [REQ] Samsung Weather apk - Accuweather

For some reason the "search" function is missing from this forum right now?

I'm looking for the stock weather widget that has been in most all Samsung Galaxy phones lately.
It wasn't on my stock SIII for some reason. Well it was installed but just "not there".
And it's not on the custom ROM I just flashed either.

Really, really like this weather widget.
I have a super old APK but would prefer a more recent one with the newer updates.

Thanks!

I am also interested in this too. I don't like stock Weather widget that came with Galaxy SIII. I like the one that is on Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note where it shows you current weather condition plus forecast for next 4 days. I don't know why Samsung got rid of it on Galaxy SIII.

Phone: Samsung GN I9250 GSM | ROM: ARHD 2.1.2 | Kernel: 3.0.8-gaaa2611 | Radio: XXKK6

Phone: Samsung Galaxy Note SGH-I717 | ROM: Stock GINGERBREAD 2.3.6 | Kernel: 2.6.35.11 | Radio: I717UCLA1

This has nothing to do with the OP.

Try downloading a custom TWiz ROM or the stock one and pulling the APK. Push it to your system apps and reboot. I hope that works for you

I had trouble figuring out how to pull an apk from the tar.md5 stock ROM.

But I ended up having to restore to the original ROM via odin.
So I took the opportunity to root & do a titanium backup of the Accuweather app.

I then extracted the .apk.gz and copied the .apk to /data/apps, but the Accuweather app doesn't come up in my installed programs or widgets list.

Also tried installing directly from the .apk but it said it could not install.

Here you go: http://cl.ly/292X2A283Y3a410y3Q35

Just extract to /system/apps and verify permissions.
