Default What's so special about an AT&T Ion

I have an Ion but am based in HK. So what is so special about AT&T that gives it forum naming rights? Is it cos the phone is only available in the us on at&t? Is the phone itself different'?

I just think it's anticipated that many future users of the handset will be from the states and, by default, on the at&t version. I'm not sure if there is a discernable difference (the radio bands, maybe?).

I'm assuming if the other versions prove popular they will rename it.
I remember with the X10 they had so many different versions of the phone
Phones:
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 (Broken)
Sony Ericsson Xperia x10 (broken USB connector)
running FreeX10 2.2.1
HTC Inspire 4G (Has weird sim card reader issue)
running Sabsa Prime ICS 4.0.3
Motorola Atrix 4G
running CM10 JB
Sony Xperia Ion
Running Stock ROM
Sony Xperia Z (purple ;])
Running Stock Rom

Tablet:
ASUS Eee Pad transformer
Running Team EOS Nightlies JB 4.1.2

Not seen the at&t logo, so can't comment.

Here's what I have in the service menu.

Is it a lot different to the us one?
