Storage [RECOVERY] ClockworkMod TOUCH 5.5.0.4 v4.2 - (6/26/12)

I am porting this over from gweedo767's recovery. Please report any bugs in the comments. I will do my best to fix them as soon as i can. Since i do not own a galaxy w (i started making this because someone asked me to) i do not have any way to test so i need feedback from all of you

4 ways to use recovery:
  1. volume rockers
  2. soft keys on bottom of screen
  3. capacitive buttons
  4. swipe gestures (up/down = scroll && left = back && right = select)

HOW TO INSTALL:
Quote:
CWMR5504B14_INSTALL-4.2.zip (NEW ICS BACKGROUND): ---------> DOWNLOAD
- Just flash in CWM
- this one creates the .hidenandroidprogress file for you so you dont need to create it manually

TERMINAL INSTALL:
Quote:
recovery.img: (NEW ICS BACKGROUND) ----------------> DOWNLOAD
- download to sdcard
- open terminal emulator (or adb) type:
Code:
$ su
# dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 bs=4096

Odin Install
Quote:
recovery.tar.md5 (NEW ICS BACKGROUND): ---------> DOWNLOAD

There is a known bug in ClockworkMod 5.5.0.4 that long file names can POSSIBLY cause backups to hang. There is a solution/workaround:
  • boot into recovery
  • try to make a backup (no matter if it passes or fails proceed to next step)
  • either through terminal emulator or through adb run the following command EXACTLY:
    Code:
    touch /sdcard/clockworkmod/.hidenandroidprogress
  • if you are backing up to external sdcard then run the following:
    Code:
    touch /sdcard/external_sd/clockworkmod/.hidenandroidprogress
