one noob question tho, after I flashed CWM and update, I'll still have CWM recovery instead of stock android recovery right? does that keep xoom from getting future OTAs?

More importantly, what about if you want to re-lock the xoom?

No, you're right you do not NEED to, HOWEVER, some of us might like to, and if all options can be covered, then they should be

Finally flashing the update! After unlocking and installing EOS R6 Recovery, it kept just going into the standard Android Recovery. I finally reflashed the img in fastboot and rebooted and got EOS Recovery to come up.

Nice! I am 4.1.1 now!

Edit: that's the eroor I'm getting:

assert failed: apply_patch_space(10419552)
E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip

Installation aborted.

Got the same error.
Im also now on 4.0.4 and after trying to flash the Status 7 Error...:-/

Two options

Wait for OTA to come properly

Or flash EOS recovery then apply the ota
It will reinstall the stock recovery

I tried this, and it didn't work. The xoom will fail to boot saying something along the lines of "Failed to boot LNX 0x0004".

The only way to get a oem locked 100% stock is to wait for the OTA to hit, AFAIK.
