Not to bother you OP. But I just purchased an AT&T DVP.
I can figure out all the important updating stuff, But what I want to know if there is any way to backup the phone
(not the data on it, I can always replace that, but backup in such a way that I can recover it if something goes wrong)

I actually haven't had any keyboard drops since I updated to 8773. Just lucky I guess.

hi guys! i have been trying to do this force update thing and its not working for me, i keep getting a error massage the the update was unsussesfull tried everything i read on all of this post and nothing as a matter of fact now i get an error saying that there is no update file. please help !! Thanks in advance .

Does it mean that my Samsung Focus S doesn't need this updates ? Like 8112 and 8773 ?

Sweet! Thanks to your threads, I was finally able to update my used DVP to 8773. Not sure why it was stuck way back on 7720. Thanks a million.
