Credit card has been charged. Does not appear to be a hold or authorization.

Normally when a company pre authorizes they just pull a dollar or two to make sure the card is valid. My statement shows charge for the full amount. It may be wishful thinking but I would love to see it go out by next friday.

They pre authorize you for the device. That secures you one during pre orders. Then charge will fall off. Then once its shipped you'll be charged again.

Most companies that only charge a dollar to your card for verification are gas stations. You won't see your gas charge for the full amount immediately. It will first post as one dollar while you're pumping gas and then later in the day it switches over to the full amount. That might not be the case for everyone but that's what happens to me.

I had the full amount as pending in account yesterday and now the pending charge is gone and no other charge for the same amount shows up so I think it really depends on your banking institution.

I ordered earlier today and there is a $279 charge pending on my credit card right now.

Don't take it personally; they're only going to see what they want to see. Pre-orders always cause a lot of speculation and drama, with people freaking out about crazy things. It's hilarious; just go with the flow.

I hope it doesn't start shipping for a while. Tomorrow night I leave for a two week vacation and that would suck if it came right in the middle of it or something.

When to expect charges
Once you place an order, charges generally post to your credit/debit card after your order has shipped, usually within a few days. Check your receipt on Google Wallet in the Transactions section of your account to see if your card has been charged or the exact date your credit/debit card was charged for your purchase.

Mine has been charged according to that page.

Funny, I had a $1 charge and a $212.99 charge...not sure what that means.

This is what I was talking about before, an authorization is not typically for the price of the item, but merely to check that the card is valid. Just wondering if you go to google play and check the status of the order does it say "Complete"?
