Nothing bsd, only better things since the better screen color, better battery life, etc.

Thanks a lot for responding. I will try it but first I need to know how it can return back to HC 3.2 in case ICS doesn't properly.

Best.

if you install telefonica spanish rom then you have to install it via flashboot, so same way you can go back to HC 3.2 if ICS doesn't works fr u

Have you experienced any quirks in using the Spanish ICS release with Indian 3G service providers, or with languages, localization and other little nitpicks?

nop, not at all, when it started for the first time after installation, it asked me to choose language & I set it as english (US), didn't gave any problem after that, no issue with my service provider also, I tried 2-3 connections & they all worked fine , infact I found my xoom's stock ICS wifi strength better than my xperia S stock ICS

Thumbs up My steps to ICS on Xoom MZ601

This seems to be the easiest way to get OFFICIAL ICS!
I went back to stock HC after EOS ICS 2.0 and was waiting for this.

1. Install the Telefonica files as above. No need to RELOCK. Gets you HC 3.1
2. On booting up look for System Updates - 50MB update using WiFi only. This is HC 3.2
3. After installing that update, again check for System Updates. This time you get a 112MB update. This is the ICS 4.0.4.

Then of course UNLOCK BOOTLOADER.
Install eos-recovery-r6.img or other. Remember to get into RECOVERY before Android normal system boot.
Install the XOOM UNIVERSAL ROOT from recovery.
Finally update the su binaries. Or replace with SuperSU!

Shiny new system! Some old goodies like Beats audio do not work on it yet! But we are on ICS finally!

Updated my Australia non-Telstra XOOM MZ601 on ICS. All good.
Except the Music player kept complaining "Couldn't play the track you requested" for all music files. Since I use this thing to store my study materials, that was really critical functionality for me. Tried reboot. Still no go.

Seems the issue is a broken "Media Storage" service on ICS.

What worked for me is
Settings - Apps - All - Media Storage - Clear Data.
Then used the "Rescan Media" app from Google Play to restart the Media Storage.

This works. But does anyone else here have a better / more elegant solution for this niggle?

Cheers

For me, this doesn't work.
After installing 3.1 and starting the update to 3.2. I see an Android with a warning triangle resulting in bootloop. Recovery not accessible, only fastboot.

Edit:
After using the original Motorola USB cable for flashing it seems to work now.
SGS 3 with Wanamlite
Xoom 3g 32gb with eos Everest alpha nightly
