Is there a lot of development for LG phones?

Hi,
I am thinking about getting this phone. But I am coming from the Samsung Captivate where there was a lot of development in terms of roms and what not. Do LG phones have the same amount of development as Samsung or HTC phones do? From what I have seen, it doesn't seem to have the same level of support.

Look around and see. This phone I think it would be like the sensation xl. Poor developing.

Its going to be quiet till we get root (which some of us are currently working on anyway) but I think this device has a lot of potential with tegra 3 as used in the HTC one x and new Asus nexus tab.

Plus availability isn't that wide spread atm. I'm importing one from Germany. But once we have root I'm going to stop just using roms as I did on my sensation and start cooking them for the 4X.

I hope there will be as much development, as there were (and still is) for the Optimus 2X. There are developed quite a few great ROMS for that phone.
As others mention, development doesn't seem to be started yet, mostly because of lacking root, but maybe also the fact that the phone isn't available world wide yet.
I'm waiting patiently, which really isn't that difficult, as the stock ROM runs quite flawlessly.

I don't know much about lg, but do their phones (especially this one) come with bootloader lock? I will never again buy a locked down phone.
