Default [THEME] Jelly Bean Font - Flashable Zip (Screenshot + Restore zip included!)

Hey guys. While we might not have Jelly Bean (yet? ) we do have a way to get a taste of it for the time being; the font!

But JB uses Roboto! The font isn't different!

Ah, but it actually is. The Roboto series that's used in Jelly Bean is a slimmer and more Helvetica-like font. Here's what it looks like:

So here's the thing. I'm kind of unsure what I think of this font. It seems to be that only the Regular typeface is affected by the new fonts. I don't know how much I like how "thin" the font is. On one hand, it's beautiful and subtle, on the other-- especially in Sense-based apps and GMail-- it just is too thin to the point of feeling like the font is vanishing and hard to read.

I leave it up to you to decide. While I cannot take credit for packaging up the fonts (that goes to this wonderful user here) I will provide a backup font zip to help you go back to Sense 4/ICS original fonts if you should desire.

They are below as follow. Please be sure you have a backup, just in case! I've tested both of these zips, and they work fine, but just play it safe

If you guys like these font zips, I might just make some more...

Both attachment and download links should be the same. I don't normally use the attachment system here at XDA so I'm not entirely sure it uploaded properly.

You're quite welcome. I am interested in hearing how many people chose to keep this font, as I did not.

Thanks!

I checked it out and immediately went back to the stock font. I definitely like the "thicker" font...especially on the home screen app labels.

I actually really like it. It is very Helvetica-esque, and I like thinner fonts. Good find! I didn't know they updated the font in JB.

I didn't know the font was updated either, but I love it. I'm keeping it.

Thanks.
