[Q] A510, app interchange between Rom builds, AcerPrint

Having had the A510 WW since april, I've more or less filled and config'd it to such an extend, that I'd be hard pressed to start over on a newer Rom version, you probably know the feeling, esp since we aint got full stable nand backup/restore yet.
My problem in this is that I nicked the Acer Print apk from a newer Rom build, for the sole reason of getting the damn app up-to-date and find my wireless Canon MG6250.
Stock Rom with Acer Print was version 1.0.44 something, and it didnt have a clue about my Canon, but extracting and installing the Acer Print v2 from the A510 RV28RC02WW build, made it appear and configureable from my tab. (newer device db I rekon)

Ok that was foreword. Trouble is, Acer Print now fully see my printer and is added in system, also showing as online to the tab. But, printjobs stalls and doesnt get through.

What am I missing? . Is Acer Print depending on something else that my current Rom (1.0.44WW) aint got, that the RV28RC02WW build has, is it a matter of newer framework details or is it more or less doable to nick certain apk's from newer Rom builds, when they are reasonably close in versions?


Thanks in advance to anyone who's able to shed a bit of light on the Acer Print quirks, and possibly other apk's we might interchange between stock Rom builds..
