Yesterday night I safely reverted to LPG, just re-flashed it via odin and then wiped data/cache.

If you flashed a custom kernel based on samsung update 4(siyah,speed mod, fluxi, neak) then you are safe to restore backups
Any kernel based on LQ5(cf or any other LQ5 based kernel including cwm recovery) will brick you phone if you have brick bug.

EDIT: also check "Got brick bug?" app from chainfire if your phone will brick or not

Flash kernel like siyah and restore backup
Just don't use CF root for that

Downgrading is possible. I did it to my native (Baltian) 4.0.3 Android and flashed Ressurection ROM.

If you have an affected kernel: Flash a known good kernel using Odin/Heimdall immediately. Do NOT use Mobile Odin, CWM, or any on-device method to flash.
