Default [DEV] ROMShare Portal for Devs and Cooks

Youtube Intro Video

ROMShare is a web-portal for Android ROM Cooks and Devs...
Its based on a web-portal and a client apk..

Current features are:
-> Manage your roms online
-> Notify your users about updates or upcoming features with push notifications
-> Have some statistics about active installations and all-time installations
-> client apk is open-source, built with mono for android
-> Good web-experience on the web-portal

Coming soon:
-> Feedback window
-> Maybe some kind of "bug tracker"
-> much more, if you're interested in my project

Im searching for some beta-testers.. Please contact me.. Translators are welcome too (my english isn't that well xD)

Do you have any ideas? Contact me..

the serverside is nearly finished, but im not that fast in developing apps for android.. if anybody out there wants to help me with this project, please pm me. i would love it to have push notifications on rom updates
the core of the app is very simple: receive gcm push and make a notification.. but it would be nice to have an overview what the update does, etc. download from dropbox, goo.im, etc.. very nice features to implement.. but the main thing is only to show a notification for the user and redirect to the xda thread.. serverside manages usage statistics, generate signed apps, etc.. its almost finished..

But with gcm you can send a notification for all ROM. How you can send notification only to client with only this ROM?

the dev/cook registers his rom in romshare
romshare generates a client apk to implement in his rom
the apk contains 2 unique identifiers: romid, versionid
apk registers on first start with server and transfers this two identifiers and his gcm registration id
server has a background task which checks wether a client has the newest version, and sends gcm messages if not

Hello
Some web desing experience I've got. I'm from Poland and like to do translations.
Got some skills in Flash animations.
PM me if it's actually.

That portal idea is great.
