Default micro USB to micro sd (for OTG)

Does anyone knows if such a thing exist: a small microUSB to microSD card reader ?
i.e. something like the tiny USB key that have a micro SD card reader, but with a micro-B USB interface (instead of a full USB) ...

I have been searching crazy lately, but nothing !!! (I can't believe that some manufacturer did not had this idea ?!)
Furthermore, micro USB card reader a very rare ! Any reason ?

As a result, I am about to DIY the thing inspired by the following example (but with micro-B usb and with direct connection):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1713914
Starting with something like:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/5-sets-USB-Ma...ht_2265wt_1165
and
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product...82E16820313271

The final goal would be to create a micro-usb to microSD adaptator as small as possible ...

Any better idea ? or product you know ?

i was looking around for exactly that. It didnt seem to exist though, so i caved and went with a standard otg cable and a tiny micro sd reader. Kudos to you if you can get it to work. I'll be following this thread
Current Devices:
Evo LTE (sprint)
Nexus 7 16gb

Legacy Devices:
Evo 3D (sprint) > Evo 4g (sprint) > Samsung Intercept (VM)
> Htc Hero (sprint) > tmo g1 (tmo)

If you don't mind using a usb memory stick, you won't need an adapter. It will be a lot cheaper & probably faster (depending on what class sd card you use).

I only found a Micro-USB card reader, but it had a giant box on a short cable so it totally sucked. I searched for OTG micro reader on ebay and found that one.

Thanks for your interest!

Yes, but all existing solutions are somewhat bulky ... which really contrast with the sleak devices!!

A tiny microUSB dongle that integrates seamlessly with the device would be marvelous (it could be not bigger than 1 x 1 x 0.5 cm) ... or an other approach would be to integrate the storage in the case (where there could be a heck of storage) ...

If I proceed to the DIY, I would post the pictures.

What you need to start is something like this:

And manage to swap out the connector.

Nokia N96 > HTC Touch HD > HTC Hero > HTC Desire > Galaxy Nexus >

I was planning to use this with the smallest microSD card reader. Smallest method possible at the moment.

why the interest in a card reader? Just for the size? seems like a very tiny flash drive would be cheaper per/GB and more flexible.
