Before flashing, is everything supposed to be working in some way?

I know CM has camera and phone, and LTE issues atm.

make a nandroid then flash pretty simple if something goes wrong or doesnt work u have a nandroid back up ready.

I'm on a Canadian carrier too and was wondering the same..I'm guessing it should be fine.

I dont have the phone, but theorically it can not brick your phone since we both have the same mmc's for kernel and /system. I cant guarantee it wont brick it, but in reality if anything will happen it will just not boot.

True. Coming from the i9000M, I never had any problems flashing the i9000 international roms.
