Default Galaxy S i9003 update

Hello All,
I'm trying to root my phone using Odin.
I select only the PDA option.

The message shown is
<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin v.3 engine (ID:3)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping..

And that's where it ends. Nothing works on the phone.
Any help would be appreciated.

How long have you waited? One time i flashed my Galaxy s I9000 it needed about 20 Minutes -.- I also wondered, and until now, I don't know why it took so long... Try waiting 30 Minutes.
OR:
What type of firmware package do you have? I think you just have a kernel. Maybe download a full 3 File package + PIT and flash it first, but then you will loose all your data If there is already a PIT file, select it in odin and the problem should dissapear

I will try waiting as long as 20 minutes, it didn't get past the Get PIT for mapping.
I tried download a PIT file from mod2xtreme.com but it didn't change anything.

About the 3 file package, I really don't know where to get the 3 file package for gt-i9003

If you can refer to such a location online. I would really appreciate it.

There is no 3-file package there.
