Default HDMI over MHL?

Has anyone tried HDMI over MHL with this phone yet? Everywhere I look, the tech specs say the phone is MHL compliant, but my htc adapter (from an old Rezound) does nothing when plugged in. Does anyone know if this is even supported on the new Incredible? I can't seem to find a straight answer.

Same here, I would also like to know why 2 of my MHL adapters don't work with this phone? is there a setting that need to be turned on or is there no HDMI support for it? has anyone been able to use HDMI out at all?

Got this today from HTC about HDMI out for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE...

"I do apologise, but the Incredible 4G LTE does not support HDMI out, however, there are other ways to share you pictures and videos.

The first is a service called DLNA, where you can share you pictures, videos and music to other DLNA compatible devices using the Wi-Fi network in your home. To access this feature on your phone, I will have you go to your home screen, then tap on All apps, open the Gallery, then open the picture or Video. While looking at the picture or playing the video, tap More, then Select Player. You should then see the option for the other DLNA players on your Wi-Fi network.

To play Music over Wi-Fi, open the Music app, then tap on My phone. Select a song that you want to listen to, then tap Menu, then Select Player.

For more information on the DLNA technology, please check out the following website: ***

The other option to share your pictures, videos and music is using the HTC Media Link HD accessory. It can be found on the following website: ***

As always Jonathan, we are available here at email support between 6am and 1am EST, 7 days a week. If you have any questions in the future about your Incredible 4G LTE, please check out our website at ***. I want to thank you for being a valued HTC customer. Have a great day."

Any luck getting this to work? When I select a pic or video and tap More, I see my Sony TV and Sony receiver listed but not sure what to do from there.

According to the official specs, it does support it. Also, there are multiple MHL-to-HDMI accessories being sold which specifically state they are designed only for the Droid Incredible 4G LTE. Perhaps there is something specific in the connector which is needed for our specific phone. I would like to purchase one, but I don't really have the need. I realize that if you were giving a presentation somewhere with a TV with HDMI, but no computer, it would prove its value, but I'm generally not doing that, so I can't justify the cost.

Cellet
OEM HTC

They're pretty expensive, but they should work.

There are ways you can view your phone on your computer, and if you have an HDMI out and a TV with HDMI nearby, you can set it up to be viewed that way.

Android Screencast - Works pretty well, but needs root to be able to be interacted with the mouse and keyboard via the computer. You can still view what you're doing on your phone without root, though. Also, you can record your phone's screen with it.
Dalvik Debug Monitor - Can't interact with this one, and you have to manually refresh it, but it's part of the Android SDK.
Webkey - ROOT REQUIRED - Works great. You can interact with it and view changes at a much faster rate than Android Screencast. I used it on my old Incredible. A little laggy at times, but they've updated it since I last used it, so maybe it got better. If I recall correctly, you could set it up to be viewed from any computer on the internet, regardless of where you were accessing it from.

I really hope your right. That's why I contacted HTC about it.

And...

That's why I'm so confused. I bought one of the MHL adapters that "support" the Droid Incredible 4G LTE but it didn't do anything when plugged in. And the other one I used was an old Galaxy SII MHL that I had laying around and it had the same outcome.

Also I have yet to read that someone was able to use an MHL adapter to view HDMI out on a TV with this phone?

Just trying to get to the bottom of this as there are many places that say it has HDMI out via MHL but nothing more than that...
ANYONE who has gotten HDMI to work via MHL please post so I know that it works please

"Thank you for taking the time to contact HTC technical support. I will gladly assist you with your inquiry regarding the possibility of the Incredible 4G LTE using MHL.

Although the Incredible 4G LTE supports streaming media via the HTC Media Link or DLNA, it does not support HDMI via MHL adapter. Also, for accessories for your Incredible 4G LTE, we recommend that you check with your carrier first for any accessories for our devices. The following sites are the most popular for HTC accessories, that we can recommend:

1.) Shop America
2.) Let's Talk

NOTE: We do not recommend trying to obtain HTC America products from online auction sites or little known resellers outside of the US and Canada."

I guess it's official... The DROID Incredible 4G LTE does not support HDMI via MHL adapter. Damn
