Talking Any Ideas on a Root?

Hey guy,

I picked up the Atrix HD yesterday and so far I'm loving it but I was wondering if anyone has thought of a way to root this bad boy?

Thanks in advance

Adam

I did the same, but it is FAR too early to expect anything.Since it has a locked bootloader, it'll probably take a while (similar to previous versions of the atrix) and I'm sure once Moto releases their webkit to unlock the bootloader the floodgates will open, but hopefully someone will step up and prove me wrong

I tried all the obvious root methods with no luck. There is no similar phone to the AHD yet, so nobody's attempted root on similar hardware.
Mine: Samsung Galaxy S3 (AT&T)
Wife: Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint)
Backup: HTC One X, Nexus One, Galaxy Nexus, someone buy 2 of these from me lol.

Has anyone tried the root method for RAZR ICS / Droid4 ICS?

Let me know if it works.

Once you guys get this, I really hope someone can pull that clock/weather/battery widget. I want it really bad. I also hope it doesn't rely on the framework of the phone

Hmm, it's a snapdragon S4 processor... What other phones have the same processor in there? You might be able to find some leads on that...

I was initially interested in getting my hands on the radio, but I think it's a completely different architecture than most of the other Motorola phones (most of the ones I know are TI OMAP), so you might need something different...

I had the same thought, galaxy s3 uses an Odin root, and the HTC one x root method didn't work either.

If i'm not mistaken, the skyrocket is a Snap S3 processor. Also, it's an Odin root much like the S3 as well i think.
