Phone Creak near Volume Rocker

Finally swapped back to Android yesterday and bought the S3. After playing with it for a bit I noticed a very loud creak on the back of the phone where the volume rocker is. Took off the back plate and it's actually the phone making this noise. Took it back to Verizon and the associate there pulled out another phone to show it was normal and just wanted to see how true this was. Searched around and couldn't find much on here so sorry if this has been asked. Here's a picture to show the area in question.

no such issue for my S3 and the 3 other S3s that I have played with.

My international version has the same thing. The gap between the battery cover and the bezel is slightly more than the rest of the phone. Doesn't bother me enough to try an exchange, took this one long enough to get here.

Yeah, maybe mine would make that noise if I push there or whatever. But I never heard it and I have a case on my smartphone. Im going to keep a case on it to protect it anyway from falls. I wouldn't care even if I heard something though.

I just checked with my flip cover and it is more flush. Could just be some battery covers, maybe all of them but the flip cover fits perfectly.

My last three phones have been HTC phones..... I'm used to the creeking...... But no I don't have that on my GS3.

Mine creaks like billy-o. I'd send it back if I could be arsed with the hassle of getting my data off and back on again.

Got a little creek down where the usb connector is. It made that sound every time i pressed home. hehe.

but a small piece of ducktape fixed that Just stick it to the phone and put the cover ontop and the sound is gone
