I don't believe these results, sure kernels can be tweaked to run a little bit faster 5-10% but these results are insane, he must use some cheat script, which caches all read/writes to memory

Rom= SlimICS V.4.2

Kernel= Faux 06m UV -75 mV

Chip Variant = 1

Great battery life.
Very fast with no lag.
Heat: Normal temperature.

I know this is really n00b but please, I'm trying to flash a custom kernel but it just does not seem to work. It's done the same way you flash a custom ROM, right (boot.img and everything)? That's how I've done it but my kernel information stays the same once the phone reboots and I check under "About phone". I just really want to try out faux and franco's kernels.

If any one of could tell me or even provide me with a link on how to do it step by step, because I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find a detailed step-by-step way on how to do it.

I love my One X and I just want to see what I can all do with it (before I accidentally turn it into brick, which will then be used when we build our new house) so any help would me much appreciated.

I'm running ViperX 2.0.1 with the stock kernel.

I'm trying to flash either faux kernel or franco kernel. Either one. I guess I thought the flashing method is pretty much the same for any kernel.

one advice from a noob , give htc stock kernel a try, its really not tat bad if u are not scoring for e best benchmark score tats meaningless. wat good and suit ur everyday use is most impt.

steps as follows:
press power and volume buttom together

enter fastboot

flash kernel boot.img
fastboot erase cache

did u do tat erase thing?

go into recovery

install e kernel module from ur sdcard.folder
