[Help] Unable to boot into recovery
Hi all,
so I tried to flash the latest CM9 Nightly for the first time.
Unlocking and rooting worked fine. I then tried to install the latest CWM Recovery using the heimdall method from my Mac using this guide:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sam...l_Update_Guide
That didn't work because heimdall seems to have a bug, it was unable to connect. I then booted my Tab and flashed CMW Recovery using ROM Manager. It just had an option for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, not for the 10.1v. I guess that's where I made my mistake, because I tried the Recovery for the 10.1.
I then tried to install the latest CM9 nightly, which failed with the error message
Code:
assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == "p3" || getprop("ro.build.product") == "p3"
I figured that was because I had used the wrong recovery, so later at night, when I had access to a Windows PC, I tried flashing the recovery.tar.md5 using Odin 1.85. It gives me a success message, and I am able to do a normal reboot.
When I do
Code:
adb shell
su
reboot recovery
or when I use ROM Manager to boot into recovery, the Tab reboots and I see a green Android with an Exclamation mark on a yellow triangle. The Tab doesn't respond to any Volume UP/DOWN keypresses. It just stays in that mode for a couple of minutes, and then does a normal reboot.
From that point on, I can do normal reboots and they work just fine, but I just can't get into a working recovery.
My best guess would be that installing the 10.1 Recovery messed up my partition table or something like that.
Any ideas how I should continue?
Thanks a lot,
amiuhle
