Default Jelly Bean and Flash

Hey,

Just bought an infinity online and waiting for it to arrive, but I'm seeking the opinion of the fellow community on flash not being compatible with android jelly bean. How much do you guys actually use flash and will it being removed make much of a difference in the browsing experience?

Also do you think it would be possible in the future for someone to port it to Jelly Bean?

They already have a workaround for the Nexus 7. It's not going to be officially supported anymore, but it'll still be there for those who want it.

Sweet is this work around just for the nexus and well have to wait until it's adapted to the infinity or does it work on all devices?

As Flash won't be supported anymore cross-platform, many sites will rescript to HTML5. Of course, smaller websites that just do not have available the resources needed for that effort will keep running on Flash, but the more relevant ones will go over rather sooner than later (the more content and complexity is added, the harder the transition gets). I'd wager that indeed the Flash Player will be available in the Play Store for some time to come, but why you'd want to use it (given the security issues that even Adobe herself has admitted often enough) AFTER the major players have transscripted is slightly beyond me.

(It's only in use on porn sites nowadays, it seems. Not that I ever visit any. I've heard that through the grapevine... )

Hi,

Got flash working on jellybean (Nexus 7). quite easy,

down load flash 11.1.15 apk from the web, install and then instal "boat" browser (dolphin etc won't work).

on the nexus you have to be careful not to change orientation etc as this crashes it.

hope this helps,

W.
