Dalvik/cache wipe only seems ok so far...I just came from the hellraised i9100 version.

Quick question: why is that line in the script? On which ROMs does it work with? It would be faster for me to flash something else I think.
It's used to ensure you're flashing on an I777. It's to try and, for example, prevent ****rocket users from hard bricking by flashing this.

No problems flashing from CM9. If you're having assert problems, you're either coming from a Hellraised I9100 firmware (known problem even for CM9) or you have a broken recovery because of a custom kernel.

Sensors missing will break autobrightness, compass, possibly orientation sensor, prox in phone calls, etc.

I pushed a fix to github but I won't do another upload until tomorrow at least - pointless to upload 130MB for one fix when I'm sure there will be more.
*so much sig updating needed*

An excellent post on "noobs vs. developers"

A few opinions on kernel development "good practices"

Great work Entropy! Deep cycle battery spill and still had time to push this out to us tonight? I know I get frustrated and cranky when I have to clean up something for that long...lol

Now, can we NOT have 50,000 posts saying "great, flashing now", or "I'm gonna wait until its a daily driver"! It's makes the thread tedious and it's unnecessary. Now have fun

Well I just tried to re-flash CM9 and got the same assert error, so something's borked. Will search the forum.

*Edit*: toggling asserts did nothing. Will flash a GB ROM and see what happens.

One question entropy,
Will you be maintaining this ROM, or did you just create it as a proof of concept/base?
IE the pacifier ROM back when ICS came out

toggling the asserts wont accomplish anything. you need to remove the assert.prop from the updater-script.

I tried to remove that line from the updater-script, and when I put that file back in the zip I got installation aborted - bad.

Installing SHOStock 2 also has the GT-i9100 in the build prop, so that didn't work without a build prop edit.

I edited the build.prop in two places:

ro.build.product -> i777

ro.product.device -> i777

installs fine now.
i-mate JAQ > HTC 8525 > iPhone 3G > iPhone 3GS (it was a dark time in my life, I was confused) > Palm Pre > HTC Aria > Samsung Captivate > LG Thrill > Samsung Focus > Samsung Galaxy S II (I777) > HTC One X > Samsung Galaxy Note II (I317) + HP TouchPad
