I'm following this thread very closely as I'm fed up with this Deep Sleep thing and thought that it was solved with the 404 rom.

I'm now a bit confused as, from what I read, first Germany 404 rom published is OK for the battery problem but isn't as smooth as the second.

Could you please confirm one or the other? My phone is XEN (Dutch) and I would change it to DBT if on of the rom's is OK.

Thanks in advance.
Deep sleep is cause by a lot of factors, not just the ROM itself. Some apps that your using and will install, often produces those dreaded wakelocks (esp. apps that are trying to connect online). Those are one of the sources of battery drainers on the phone.

Also, you may want to weigh out first by reading all of the post reviews of users on this LRK rom and those of the other thread(on the original LRG one), don't just take one's word to flash your ROM. Read thoroughly the 2 ROMs thread and you yourself will be the judge which ROM should be the best.

Cheers!
Cheers!

is there a way to put back the small icons in Phone/ Logs menu? I liked them that by just presiing them you can actually call the person or send text message. This very helpful feature was removed with this LRK update.

I'm really unsure what you could mean as I am not having such a problem. Even the swipe left for messaging and swipe right for calling, on contacts, still functions just fine. Also, that option is there if you touch the contact picture.

I didn't bother waiting on the OTA and used Mobile Odin, the initial installer installed some bloatware. I was flabbergasted =/

I recall reading that some people had their device locked after using Odin? What gave you that impression?

Any news as to when the official OTA UK update will arrive? Keep checking everyday for this but nothing as yet, sick of rebooting phone every morning to get round the deep sleep issue, don't really care what else Samsung include in the update as long as deep sleep issue is resolved, it's such a delight to use my new galaxy s3 not having to reboot everytime i take it off charge.
Three UK network
Samsung Galaxy S wifi 5.0
Samsung Galaxy note
Samsung nexus s
Nexus 7 on order

Do not listen to miss-informed users telling you to do a factory reset with a stock ICS ROM, there is a very real chance you can brick your device. Just because a few have successfully completed the procedure, does not mean it is safe. Read the stickies all the info is there. Now stop spouting this junk!

Your csc has changed thats why it not allowing to update on kies. Nothong to worry abt it, you can update using odin anytime.
And yes dont change csc on ics manually as it cause reset which is dangerous.

True mine doesnt even show my csc in kies. It just shows (XXX) and that my device cant be updated via kies. Now i wont be able to receive further ota or kies updates. And thats all from updating the phone officially no root nothing just followed the ota instructions. What if someone doesnt know how to flash roms etc?
