Default How to trigger Jelly Bean Update

Read this from another site (was about updating to ICS) but I did the following and it worked for me.

Obviously have a Stock Xoom Wifi that is on ICS

1: Go into Settings --> Apps --> All
2: Scroll down to and select "Google Services Framework"
3: Click on Force Stop (let it stop) and then click on Clear Data
4: Hit your back arrow and go to About Tablet --> System Updates (should say it last checked in 1969) and hit Check for Updates
5: Let it download and install

I saw this and thought I'd give it a try - walked into the other room to grab my Xoom, hit the button to wake it up and already had the notification of a system update to 4.1.1 on the screen. Wahoo :]

Bummer
Maybe try again in a little bit. I tried this on mine last night and it didn't work either. I kept hitting update this morning and nothing happened so I tried this method again and it worked for me.

Yeah - Mine says 1970 too... Perhaps this is why we're still waiting to pull the OTA update?

haha lol same for me.
worked like a charm. And I actually can use the answering function of the voice search now. My GNex runs with german language while I left my Xoom on US english (imported from the US).
