Default unlock screen leads to black home screen

So I've noticed this recently and its starting to get annoying. The phone will be off and then when I press the home button to wake the screen, I'll unlock the screen then I get a black background for a few seconds then my wallpaper shows up. I love the phone but its starting to get annoying. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
