Default "My Location" button in Maps

I apologize if this question has already been addressed, but I can't find any info on it, and am not sure if this is a "just me" situation.

On my DInc OG, using Google Maps, I could press the "My Location" button to have it find me and center my location on screen. A second press would change the view into an angled thing almost like Navigation, but with no turn-by-turn or voice-over. It would follow my location, however, just like Navigation does.

I now have a DInc4G, and the same FIRST press of the "My Location" button does the same thing, but the second press does NOTHING. Am I imagining things, or has that functionality been somehow removed? I really miss it and I'm dying to know more about it.

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Yes you don't get the angle view anymore but that second tap simply lets you rotate the map around manually (in my experience anyway)

Thanks for the confirmation. Okay, I just want to understand this. Has the functionality been removed by Verizon (Verizon-modified apk) or is this an Ice Cream Sandwich modification, or is this an update to Google Maps? I know it doesn't matter in the long run, but it's kinda pissing me off. Argh.

Maps is from market, so I doubt anything to do with Verizon.

True, but there lots of apps that are modified by the carrier and then pre-installed on the handset such that you can't fully remove them. (I guess that's two issues right there) Anyway, on my Asus Transformer OG, the Google Maps functionality of which I seek is present. And that's stock ICS, updated from Honeycomb.

I'll keep digging, but if anyone else can confirm either way on this, please chime in! Thanks!!

Maps is indeed pre-installed on the Dinc4g and cannot be fully uninstalled without root. I just tried disabling it and installing fresh from Google Play, but the market knows its installed and will only allow an update. (Installing the update takes Maps off of the disabled list, too)
