QuadGearBox: Save battery maybe. (EcoMode)

Hey,
In my quest for root and an overall more usable phone I stumbled upon LGs QuadGearBox.
I have read about it in an announcement however it hasn't been released officially yet.
It has the option to set the tegra processor to eco mode. Feel free to try it out
You can choose any shortcut app and dig into settings where you will find QuadGearBox or just use my wrapper-app:

There is also a CPU meter hidden in an lg settings app but I have to sleep now...
Hope this helps and brings this awesome phone with battery issues a step forward. It's as good as it will get without root...

I have no Idea why it's hidden. Maybe it's doomed by tegrademon?
No seriously after googleing I've read in some announcement that they want to publish it
at some point in the future. So we can only guess...

Btw I think you are right with the processor only using two cores. It seems to me like it tends to use the shadow core more often as as well but have not tested it properly...

it was me, thanks for the quick response, now download from the market without any problem.

I am using eco mode now and the biggest difference that I notice is that I have a lot more free memory.

because this app turn off the third and fourth cores?
If i play with a games for tegra 3 only 2 cores runs!
