If you are living in US and don't mind waiting this place sells it for $29.99+free shipping. You can pre-order it now, but going to wait till some reviews.

Default I just don't see the point ...?

I really don't see the point in buying this. Could someone explain to me what I get with this $45 thing that I don't get with my current $8 dock from ebay + an NFC tag ? The only thing that this device could save me is connecting the AUX jack. The problem with SGS3 is not a good dock anyway, it's the lack of a good Car Home app like the one on HTC One X. Just rotating the home screen to horizontal does not make it driver friendly. You need big icons for all main functionalities that you might use in your car and an easy way to switch between them (mainly switching between GPS Nav, making receiving calls and the music player ) or ideally being able to all of these just by voice.

Ordered one from Mobile City. $29.99 seemed to be a good price and if the phone will fit with an Otterbox Defender on it then it ought to fit with the Trident Kraken case I've ordered.

Will report when it arrives.
Tmobile Galaxy S IV.

Your on android, get an app for that. I recommend Car Home Ultra, the paid version is only a couple bucks, IIRC. I'm sure there are a bunch of other options out there since I got Car Home Ultra almost 2 years ago.

I have tried all 'Car Home' apps on the market and have purchased Car Ultra Home as well. Good stuff! BUT the problem is when you decide to switch between the main functionalities of your phone while driving I mean a.Making/receiving a call b.Using GPS Nav. c. Playing/stopping/changing music. Imagine you decide to play/stop some music while GPS navigator is on. You need to 1.press home 2. play/stop the music 3. press home again 4. Bring the GPS Nav on again. a 3rd party 'Car Home' app does not make this easier if not harder! You can't do any of that while driving! With HTC it's as easy as sliding the screen to the right and right to switch between phone/GPS Nav and music player. It also has created nice 'in car' music player and phone dialler apps. Again I know there are 3rd party in-car dialler and music player on the market (which are very primitive anyway) but the switching problem is still there. I think creating a good car home app is a big project that just big companies (like HTC or maybe Samsung? ) can afford tackling. I think even HTC Sense 4 car app could be much better. I expected more voice command integrity with the dialler and map/GPS apps. Apple is developing something like that for iPhone 5 in join with TomTom, maybe then Samsung feel the pressure and make one for SGS4 !?

Wink How about mounting on dash

Well, looks like this will cut it for me but just waiting to see if the sound quality is downgraded via USB or is it real aux-out.
Another thing - It appears from the video that the only way to mount it on the dash is to stick a plate and mount on it. Sticking a plate means the glue will de-color the dash.
Anyone found a way to dash mount without a plate ?

I dont like the idea of windshield mount with a wire hanging in my ****pit

Someone said about problem switching apps. Have you tried using S-voice to switch ? Maybe that may help.

Just remembered... Does this thing have a mic? If the usb provides aux out which goes directly to the car, I will surely hear the call on my car speakers but what about me talking? Does one have to shout and talk?
