[GUIDE] Install Google Wallet on any Device and ALL Countries
******THIS IS FOR THE NEWEST GOOGLE WALLET (1.5-R79-v5), BUT THE METHOD IS THE SAME, JUST LINKS HAVE BEEN UPDATED******
******ALL CREDIT GOES TO b-reezy FOR HIS POST!******
EDIT August 8, 2012: The Guide has been edited for the new Google Wallet (Wallet-in-the Cloud, 1.5-R75-v6), this guide will hopefully (I'll try my best!) continue to update as Google Wallet updates
EDIT September 19, 2012: This Guide has been updated (links, etc.) for the latest Google Wallet, 1.5-R79-v5.
*Note: This guide must be used at your OWN risk, although it has safely worked fine on different devices, I cannot guarantee this will work for you 100%*
*Please note: The supplied APK may have issues/errors, so please make sure to reset Google Wallet through the app itself (NOT the Settings app!) and then delete to clear the chance of any errors!*
I have typed up this guide from all the information I have gathered and I credit all those who I have gathered my info from, thank you contributors. Anyway, here is a quick and easy tutorial on installing Google Wallet on ALL devices with NFC in ALL countries, but it requires root, so I have supplied a very easy tutorial down below on root your Device. If you're already rooted then just move the files accordingly.
1) Have root, here are some recommended easy tutorials:
Root Method (always Up-to-date): http://goo.gl/r4GSZ
---------------------------------
2) Grab all the necessary files and put them anywhere on your phone (just remember where you put it, you'll need them later!) and here are the links, again, all credit goes to the original uploaders:
***Nexus S Gingerbread users WILL need the "NFC Fix" file from the XDA thread right above here). Also, ONLY 4.x+ user should continue with the rest of this tutorial, use the XDA Method link above to install on Gingerbread!***
---------------------------------
3) [*REMEMBER*]: ONLY 4.x+ user should continue, 2.3 users should use the XDA Method link above] Use a root browser like "Root Browser Lite" (http://goo.gl/5XSB6) to transfer the files. Move the patched APK (found above) to the following TWO (2) locations (the same file, copied to TWO (2) locations):
[root]/data/app
and
[root]/system/app
---------------------------------
4) Now, change the permissions of the file in BOTH LOCATIONS to: xx-x--x-- A.K.A. rw-r--r--
---------------------------------
F.A.Q.
I can't find Google Wallet in the app drawer! You need to defrost the Patched apk with Titanium Backup, but unfortunately you have to do it every reboot, but hey, it's a small price to pay for have Wallet in other countries!
To activate Google Prepaid Cards if they're still not working:
Using a file explorer (Like Root Browser Lite) Go to [root]/system/build.prop (the file)
---------------------------------
Find the lines that say:
ro.product.device
ro.product.name
--------------------------------- Change both of those lines to: htc_jewel and save.
---------------------------------
Reboot your phone, and try to activate prepaid card again. (Thanks to Roscopcoletrain, jayjay3333 and guitaristgba247 for the answer!)
OR
If you have a phone with a broken IMEI code, you won't be able to use Google Wallet on that phone, unfortunately.
You may receive an e-mail with a link to register the card to a USA Address, make sure it's in a state like Delaware (any address in there, for example), because there is no state tax. If you'd like, you can even add it as it's own card itself rather than topping it up on the Google Card
OR
You can buy a Vanilla Prepaid MasterCard or Visa Prepaid Card and register with a USA address, then, go to the Google Wallet website, sign in, and add the card from there. Go to your phone, open Wallet, and match the information you entered online. You should now be able to use your card error-free!
How do I register my card with a USA Address? Simply go to this website here and enter the information. The website is safe, I have tested it. When registering the card with a USA address, make sure you use a Delaware or Oregon address, as those states don't have state tax. I'm not going to post an address here, as I don't want to get sued, but a quick Google Maps search should give something!
The app is staying at the account setup up screen and just attempts endlessly to activate my Google account! This is because phones like the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S2 phones are missing the secure library files needed to run Google Wallet, it stays stuck on the activating account screen, this has been test and confirmed, sorry! Hopefully in the future this is solved! (^^^If you're running CyanogenMod 10, try the solution above^^^)
ROMs ARHD v3.0 - Getting insufficient keys Stock 4.1.1 (JRO03L) 99.99% Google Experience - Secure Element keys are not in place to work with Wallet Preview by TripNRaVeR - Shows up in the app drawer, bad signatures. Google Wallet does not load. TeamNDVRu - Doesnt show up on drawer at all, app doesnt work even after changing permissions
I hope this guide helped you, and please hit that +Thanks button if I helped you! Thank you! If you have ANY further questions or some mistake, feel free to let me know and to comment!

After I place the stuff in data/app & system/app and change the permissions how do I get the Google wallet to show in my app drawer?
Jelly Belly powered Nexus S
Are you rooted? Well probably, but did you go through ALL the instructions thoroughly? One solution could be that you have to hit "install" in your root browser on the one in system/app (try the one in data/app too)

*you do NOT "install" the app, you simply move the apk to two locations* Did you guys both move the stock one to another folder? Put the PATCHED apk in BOTH locations (/system/app AND /data/app)? Did you also set permissions for the apk in BOTH file locations? Finally, did you guys remove the data from the stock Wallet app (if you had the stock one installed prior) and then uninstall it or move the apk? Make sure that you AT LEAST put the apk in /system/app. Good luck you two, best of luck.

I think it does have to do with CM10, its still in Alpha, so bugs and stuff are a big factor. Then again, I'm no super-developer, so I can't be sure. I'm running stock rooted 4.1.1 Jelly Bean...

you need to use titanium backup to defrost the app.
