Softbrick on .26

Try manually flashing a different firmware version from ASUS website (WW/US/TW etc.), then return the same way to yours.

I had to use the TW .26 update because all the other ones came up with a signature error in the recovery. It works fine on my US tab. You will need an SD card.

Really? I'm gonna try right now. I'll report back in like 10 minutes. I'm having the exact same problem lol.

Awww fudge. I was rooted. So my system files wont be overwritten will they? That's probably why the signature verification failed keeps coming. I've tried every countries firmware :I

maybe try removing su and other files you've added through adb?
being rooted arguably prevents the updates for some, but it never stopped my device from updating

Not unlocked fml. Just returned it and got another one ordered... 3-5 days fml...

So what files for Google Talk did you have in mind in the first place? Something you believe I should put in the "apps to avoid" section in the apps thread/list?

My brick happened after attempting to use the beats audio app.

I was rooted too and had a locked bootloader. You sure you extracted the file, renamed it to EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip and put it on the root of a micro sd?

I also did a wipe beforehand. I don't know if that had any effect.

Anyway you had the chance to exchange it so its OK. I was worried because I would need to take a flight to take mine back, lol
