Here is a video I made on my HTC EVO LTE Android 4.0.3 ICS, that shows some commands in action and displays a couple of cards. Also, proves that Google Now does work with voice and has talk back.

Work around for the Google Calendar

1- You need to setup your Phone as a registered device on Google calendar. Go to www.google.com/calendar

2- Go to Calendar Settings

3- Click the Mobile Setup tab + Enter your number and click Send Verification code.

4- Your phone will get a SMS with verification code,

5- Enter it in the verification code field, click Finish Setup and Save.

(if everything went right, you will receive another message saying "your device has been verified")

6- Now create a new contact, called Calendar, and make the primary number 48368 (which is GVENT). That's it! You're done!

7- Now you can send a text by voice, for example "Text Calendar Meet Tom at 10am at his house".

8- Make sure you Click "messaging by voice search"

Lastly
The event will be created on your calendar (you will receive a confirmation text that the event was added to the calendar successfully)

Google Search Widget


Fist off I take no credit for the making of this app, u1aryz is the creator and I thank him very much for this app.

This application is to customize your Google search widget to any color you want. I use it to match my themes. I used to use it to link my mic to jonny_g app but I kept it because I liked the customization of it, so maybe you will like it too.

Here are some pictures of widgets I made for fun. The logo, mic and frame can be changed to any color you desire. Have FUN!

I really like the cards and I want G-Now to give me updates

So I played around with it, and here is what I got.

Here are some commands that will bring up those cards


Now cards will update automatically based on your location, and search.
"Now Cards" are the ones that show at all times when you open Google Now, like the ones shown in the picture above.(blue)

Using Google Chrome at home? Sign in with your Gmail and things you have search on your computer will update on the Google Now Cards, COOL RIGHT!

New Way to Open Voice!
Open Google Now Cards
Once its open.Just say "Google" and voice should open by its self

If it doesn't work, go to settings, voice, and check box hotword if not checked.

Known to work for some people


Google Apps that update the NOW Cards
-Google Chrome
-Doing your search on chrome mobile or at home and signed in via G-mail, Google Now will update based on what you have searched
-Google Maps
+Search a city on Maps and get direction and Google Now will update your traffic to the searched location.
+ Search a Place on Maps and get direction and Google Now will update the traffic to that location and it will tell you how far you to that place.


Traffic
*If you want it to give traffic information from home to work make sure your home and work location is set on latitude, it will update it self and give you traffic information from where ever you are at. (Now Card)
-Navigate to_______.
-Directions to ______.
-Take me to _______.

Stock
-Stock price of ______.

Flights
*A Now card will appear of a flight you've searched for.(Now Card)
-Flight name + flight number (ex. "Delta Air Lines flight 4183")

Alarm and Reminder
* It will read your calendar and post it on G-Now, if you don’t want it to, just go to setting and change it(Now Card)
**also appointments with a certain destination will show up on the Now card and it will give traffic information to your appointment's destination.*Furthermore, It will notify you when you should leave so you can be able to make it to your destination on time. (Now Card)

Weather
now with the latest .apk your weather will be in the notification bar
*Weather will update by itself on G-Now based on your location. (Now Card)

Places
*A now card will display the places you have searched when traveling so you can find your best restaurant near by.(Now Card)

-Call + (contacts name)
-Text + (contacts name) + (message)
-Send email to (contact name)(,)(message)

Music
-Play (artist name)
-Play (songs title)
- listen to (artist name/songs title)

SportsOnly Works with Pro Teams
*Based on what teams you search, Google Now will give a Now card of the scores of those teams to keep you updated. (Now Card)
edit/add on feature-Currently working with JB, you have the abilty to add your own pro team by going to settings/Google now/sports.
-Score for (teams name)
-When is the next (teams name) game
-How are the (team) doing
-Did the (team) win
-[New]- (teams name) stadium- {this will give you more the name of the stadium and more information about it and where its located)
-[New]-Who is the (team's name) couch

Math
-______Percent or % of _____. (ex. Bill Tip fpr 15%. Type "15% of 84.51" it will answer 12.68)

Currency
*If travel to a place with a differnt currency, a Now Card will automatically display the exchange rate for you.(Now Card)

-Who is the current president of the US
-When is (holiday) in (what year)
-Whats the capital of _____
- How old is_______ (almost anything)
- how tall is_______ (person or building, etc.)

Time
*If you travel to a different timezone a now card will display the current time now(Now Card)

Image Search
-Pictures of_____
-What does_______ look like

Learn
*A Now card will display the translation lanugaue for you when you travel to a diffent country with a diffent language, so you can be able to understand what other people are saying about you :P (Now Card)
-Definition of__________
-What does_________ mean.
-Define_____
-What is the National Anthem of (country)
-What is the capital of (state or country)
-What language is spoken in ?
-What is the state bird of (state)?

Movies or Shows
- Cast of______(movie or shows name)
-Run time of (movie or shows name)
-When is the release date for (name of movie)
-Director of (movie or shows name)
-What movies has (actor's name) started in

public transit
-I live in a small town so I have my own car, I was told it will update automatically based on your location.

For Fun
- Do a barrel roll

Man, I really appreciate your work. I like the commands that you have discovered. I love your widget and the help that you gave us, but be careful, because from what I saw, they are able to close THIS thread, because you copied YOUR work! Good luck and keep you on this way!!!

One thing that I've been looking for and still haven't found out about Google now.
How do I keep the information Google now learns when i flash a new ROM, because it keeps forgetting how to spell my partners name :-/

I would of thought it keeps the information in the cloud? is this not the case? Otherwise all devices will be reporting randomly different information & wouldn't know when dismissed etc.

I've only just installed JB on my tab and currently downloading now for my phone (ICS) so haven't had a proper play yet.

I tried it on mine but it doesnt show photos going along with the answersssssssssssssss

information you search is backed up through the cloud because you are signed in through you G-mail account, so flashing a new Rom is not a problem.
You want Google to better understand you?
-Go to settings
-Voice
-Check personalized recognition if not checked
-select the New Google search as a default.

that should help better understand you and what your saying and hopefully spell your partners name right.
