Is it worth it?

I've converted from blackberry to android and in a few short months changed phones from the
Samsung galaxy s2 to the Samsung galaxy skyrocket (black) to the Samsung galaxy skyrocket (white)

I'll be honest and admit I like to have the latest phone and even while the S3 is an upgrade from the skyrocket ......it's largely analogous to getting an iPhone 4s when I already have an iPhone 4
I'm using cm9(which I love) and I can put cm9 on an s3.thus I think the only thing I will benefit from would be 2gb of ram and a bigger screen.
Personally I think 4.8 is too big,then again I thought 4.5 was too big

Additionally to get this phone I will embark on a pla to add a line to a family plan then cancel after 30 days and pay the ETF. (I'll sell my skyrocket to the highest bidder ) .All this because I am not sure yet that I want to "lay in bed" with for another 2 years

Skyrocket is like 4s too the galaxy s2. Getting the Gs3 would be like getting the iPhone 5 compared to your skyrocket

Yes, I too have a skyrocket and I got the S3. S3 is a better phone all the way around.

Yes, I came from the regular galaxy s2 for only 7 months of use. I was skeptical about forking over the money, but having a notification light and all the cool features that come stock with the phone made it worth while. The speed is incredible compared to the GS2, even better if you overclock it. Battery does drain more because of the LTE, but you are used to that with the skyrocket. There are a few mods that can enable 2g or 3g if you want to tone down the LTE. I still manage to get around 14 hours with LTE turned on most of the day with moderate usage.

I suggest GSM unlocking your skyrocket before you sell it. I sold my gs2 for $330 bucks on ebay this week because it was unlocked. You could probably get in the 350-375 range with the skyrocket.
