CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

Code:
#include
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 *
 * Submitting bug reports on nightly builds is the leading
 * cause of male impotence.
 */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Starting next nightly (October 31st, 2012), you will be required to have Jelly Bean bootloader to be able to boot CyanogenMod 10. Please follow http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1894867 to make your nvflash blobs if you're still on ICS bootloader, then flash official Asus Jelly Bean update to update your bootloader. You will be required to flash a new jellybean-bootloader-enabled recovery - so take care and backup your files.

As a result, the ROM is now much smoother and stabler.

Google Apps:
http://d-h.st/rDK

Nightlies:
http://get.cm/?device=tf300t

First installation :
1) Unlock your device, and install CWM recovery : http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1668173
2) Push the update zip to your internal memory
3) Reboot in recovery (Shutdown tablet, press Vol Down + Power, then press Vol Up when prompted)
4) Make a backup
5) Navigate to "Install zip from sdcard", "Choose zip from sdcard", and choose the update zip you previously pushed to your tablet
5a) If you want Play Store, flash gapps now too (link above)
6) Go back and Wipe data/cache
7) Reboot

Updating from previous build:
1) Push update zip to /sdcard/
2) Reboot in recovery
3) Flash as above
4) Reboot

If any issue after updating, wipe data.

You can either help us by giving FULL bug reports WITH LOGS, WITH REPRO CASE, ETC, or by submitting patches.
If you're not a developer, but still want to support you can hit the "Donate to me" button up ahead - and don't forget to give some bucks to loganmc10 - he did a lot of work for Jelly Bean on our tablet.
Thanks to all donators!

Not to be the picky one but the thread is for JB but the first line looks like a copy pasta from the ICS thread.

I know that the people who *should* be flashing this should be able to work it out, but experience with the SGS thread has taught me you'll likely get a lot of n00bs making "is this for JB or ICS?"

just saying....:)

Nice looking forward to it, BUT (as always) will there be a separate version for the TF300TG or will it be for both in the end?

Best and thanks for the information,

If people can't read "4.1.1" and "CyanogenMod 10", and realize it's not "4.0.4" and "CyanogenMod 9", I can't help them. I can't see why it should be different either as the procedures are the same.

I should be able to flash these nightlies over the unofficial build from logan's thread without a wipe, right?

Sweeet, running "Unofficial" CM10 from logans thread, I suppose it's the same, so only a dalvik cache and cache wipe?

Thanks a lot, cheers!

Edit: just saw the above post, sorry!

I think there is no ROM Manager for the TF300 yet. Like stated in starting post in kind of striking typography. ;)
Well thank you for that... I guess. My question was aimed at XpLoDWilD for an answer, as RM usually starts working when a nightley is started. So my question is for the dev team asking if it will be tied to RM.

You are correct sir, hence my comment. But my point was to try and limit the number of useless "durrr what is this thing that I am doing to my tablet" posts. As I said, you'd expect people trying to flash CM to know but....no....too many don't. Have a look over at Pawitp's SGS I9000 CM10 thread if you don't believe me.

Now to a semi-bug report that can actually be classified as OT. :p

When doing fresh install or after factory reset, during the setup phase the back and home buttons are hidden (which is fine). But if at any time during setup you press the "keyboard settings" button (say, to turn off the key press sounds because you're flashing at 4am :) ) you have no way of going back to the setup (as the back button is not available). The only way back is to reboot.

Don't know if this stock Android issue as I don't own a nexus device, and I don't recall if this is an issue in ICS or before.

And I'm not saying its interrupting daily usage of the device :) :) as it really will come up rarely for users but....just putting it out there as a low one on the "gonna fix" list.

Yes, its very very minor. But other than the GPS and the missing data usage (and associated jelly bean tricks that hang off data usage) there is ZERO things wrong with this ROM. Logan has done a top-notch job :) :)

H/W Decode?

There's no H/W decoding yet, is that right? I'm not getting it in MX Video Player with CM10, I came from CM9 Final. Or could it just be MX, H/W decode comes on by default but the video plays choppy now.... so does this mean CM10 TF300T is with or without H/W decode, or is just MX? If either I can roll back to my CM9 image no problem.

Cheers.

It is not only you. My MX player doesn't have h/w decode. I don't have sound playing any video either.

    @XplodWild: I know you normally don't give ETA's and probably won't do it now, but as I think many, many ppl are now waiting for CM10.1 and will ask again and again, you maybe should just give us information about how far you are with it or if you are just not building it now...

    It's just an advice, because I think you also don't wanna read again and again "How far are you with CM10.1", "Are we gonna see a 4.2 build this week as it's now available for xxx device?"

    Thanks in advance and keep your amazing work going! :good:

    We have a hard time making hardware acceleration work properly. However, since rayman and bumble bee have it working on tf201, we are about to finally make a common tegra3 Asus tablets tree that will share all enhancements, hence why it takes some time.

    Seems like I finally fixed wifi ;)

    Just got home, I grabbed all the system from the official 4.1 OTA, and going to update everything soon. I had some troubles with the new bootloader Asus brought with the update, so I'd rather make sure everything is safe before making a build.

    I'm still working on trying to make the kernel working for both JB and ICS bootloaders. Another solution would be to force everyone to first get nvflash blobs on ICS bootloader, then let them update to JB bootloader (and work with JB bootloader). I'll keep you tuned.
