Question WriteShield - the "feels like paper" screen protector...

Have been doing research online for a screen protector that provides a "paperlike" resistance and sound when writing. I personally find writing on a slippery surface difficult.

I discoverer the WriteShield brand which supposedly does exactly that - give you a paper-like feel.

However, from what I can see they only have it for the Tab 10.1:

My question is, is the glass surface area on the Note 10.1 different in size and shape from the Tab 10.1? I know the shell size is different but I am referring only to the glass area.

I wonder if it consumes the tip of the pen more quickly

I know the tab 2 is the same, but not sure about the original tab.

I have a writeshield on my Asus ep121 and it feels exactly the same as my MXH Photodon, which feels the same as the rooCase screen protector I have too.

Any matte protector will wear the tip faster.

So do all those brands you mentioned provide a paperlike resistance or is it basically the same scratchiness one gets from any matte protector?

I would ideally prefer a non-matte protector as i like a bright clear screen. I wonder if anyone makes a crysgal clear screen with a paper feel? I was under the impression the WriteShield clear version offered the same papery resistance. No?

They are ok. Mind you, a paper like feel is only accomplished when a pen gauges a surface causing deep crevices. You might not want this

Joking aside, you get the idea. These screen protectors do scratch themselves, and it's sort of a mixed bag. I have a very nice Photodon on a couple of my tablets. I really don't notice much difference. I just put those on plastic surfaces to avoid scratches, not to improve slipperiness.

I'm really not sure about a few things regarding this. I have felt nibs that do make a difference (although probably slight) but I'm not sure if these could actually pick up more particles, and in so doing cause scratches. Don't know, and that's the beauty of screen protectors; you don't have to worry.

I think i'll just use the supplied pen. Samsung brags about it's 'rounded surface', and how it will not scratch. This may be the case.

I think UltraCrystal by Spigen/Steinhil is hands down the best. can't tell it is on there and very durable. So we can confirm that the screen for the tab 2 10.1 is the same as the note?
