Default Soft Keys mod?

Hi,
as there are many devices, ours included, which still have hardware buttons, there have been mods around for many to inlcude software buttons. I was wondering if there is a possibility to have them on our device? It should be no problem on CM9 or 10, which IIRC has them included (i'd flash one of those if they were availible...), but is it also possible on our stock roms?

So I found a way to add them: Just add to the build.prop
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
But still the HW keys also work. Now I need a way to disable them - anyone know a solution for that?

works, but also added the "menu" button at the top right of the application, this is fine except in lg applications that do not include the use of that key .... also you can change the keyboard software also adding other keys (as the menu, change the size, etc.)?

sorry for my English, I used google translate from Italian

Can you post a screen how it looks with the soft keys?

Found a solution to disable the hard ones?

You might as well try it yourself. Use a build.prop editor that can backup and restore the file, so you can easily revert to stock.
I didn't find a solution for the hw keys, but I haven't been looking for one very much.
