I want to Thank dsixda for his Android Kitchen and thederekjay for his Super Wipe scripts it always comes in handy. Thanks to Team Win Recovery Project 2 (TWRP) for the awesome recovery.

✯ ✯ ✯ IMPORTANT ✯ ✯ ✯
if for some odd reason you can't install stock ROM through Odin, follow the below steps:
If going back to stock for returns, repair or warranty exchange, I would suggest the following installation process/steps for CWM/TWRP zip files.

Step 1. Install Radio 1st.
Step 2. Install Stock ROM (none rooted).
Step 3. Factory reset (in CWM or TRWP)
Step 4. Install stock Recovery Last.
Or
Just install the Stock ROM the "tar.md5" file through Odin and your done (if possible).

✯ ✯ ✯ NOTE ✯ ✯ ✯
Use ODIN to install/flash the .tar file inside the zip file on the (Odin) section.
Use CWM or TWRP for the (CWM/TWRP) section.

ODIN - INSTALLATION
ROM installation duration takes about 7minutes in Odin3.

How to Install Galaxy S2 T989 Official Update
If you are new to this and need a more detailed guide with all pre-requisites and installation steps with precautionary measures mentions in detail, please head over to a step by step guide: How to flash stock ROM using Odin >>.

This is how I installed the ROM through Odin:
Step 1. Reboot to CWM/TWRP and flash TDJ Superwipe(optional)
Step 2. Install the KIES program on your PC REBOOT then extract ODIN and the Stock zip file to a folder on your computer.
Step 3. Power off the device, remove battery and place battery back to device.
Step 4. Run ODIN and put your phone in Download mode. (Have USB plugged in the computer and Hold VOL Up + VOL Down on the phone and plug USB in) Once you see the download mode screen hit VOL +
Step 5. In Odin3, Select PDA and navigate to the extracted .tar.md5 file and hit START. When it completes give 6-10 min the phone will automatically reboot for you.
Step 6.If you get a boot loop reboot the phone into recovery (Volume up+down and power until Samsung logo appears after let them go. Highlight Wipe data/Factory reset and select with power)

Installing a CWM zip file ROM(Custom ROM) for the newbies:

Step 1. The first thing you need to do is download the ROM you want to install.
Step 2. Move the file to a folder on your phone's SDcard (or download it directly to your phone, combining steps 1 and 2).
Step 3. Boot into CWM by:
-- Power off the device or restart/reboot.
-- During initial reboot hold down the Volume Up and Volume Down until the phone vibrates.
Step 4. Select wipe data/factory reset. This will wipe your /system and /data. You should also format your /cache under the mounts and storage options.
Step 5. Navigate back to the main menu.
Step 6. Select install zip from sdcard.
Step 7. Select choose zip from sdcard.
Step 8. Navigate to the folder you placed the ROM zip in.
Step 9. Select the ROM zip file.
Step 10. Navigate to Yes - Install (name of file), and select it.
Step 11. This will install your ROM
Step 12. When it is done reboot your phone.

There may be special instructions for specific ROMs (like flashing gapps for CM10, AOKP), just follow the instructions listed in the thread for that ROM. If you have questions about a specific ROM it is best to ask them in the thread for that ROM.

It's the newest T-Mobile update. Some are saying it's 4.0.3 and others 4.0.4. Hopefully someone can confirm.

Keep in mind this is stock. If you are rooted now you will lose root. I'd wait for either a rooted rom or a custom rom based off this to come out to flash anything. They will usually be flashable in recovery which makes it much easier. This is more for developers.
