After playing around with the source tree for ville, I managed to get a mostly working AOKP JB build. This is an unofficial build, as AOKP has yet to support the One S in JellyBean. Again, this build is UNOFFICIAL, so don't bother going to AOKP for support.
Working:
  • ROMControl
  • Theme Engine
  • Notification LED
  • Camera/Video Camera
  • ...and everything else that works in CM10

Not Working:
  • nothing

All Downloads are HERE

Gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

Installation Instructions:
  • Download the ROM
  • Download Gapps
  • Extract the boot.img from the ROM and flash it in fastboot
  • Boot into TWRP recovery and factory data reset
  • Install the ROM, then install Gapps
  • Reboot

Default Having screen off data issues??? Read here!!!

If you are having issues on AOSP-based ROMs with data being off when the screen is off, do the following:

Add these lines to your build.prop:

ro.ril.hsupa.category = 14
ro.ril.gprsclass = 12
ro.ril.hsxpa.category = 4
ro.ril.fast.dormancy.rule = 2
Reboot and your data should be much better.

Great, will we get it officially as well?

Edit: Reason I'm asking is because I'd like to commit to this rom, but need to know if it has some potential to grow.

I'm not sure about official, but I'll continue to keep this updated with newer releases.

AOKP doesn't use Trebuchet. It uses Launcher2. If you wan't customizability, AOKP includes Nova Launcher for you to use.
