I'm going to sound like a n00b, I know it...

How do I install the Kernel and Recovery? I think I can do it through adb, but my adb connection is screwed up with my NT. There has to be another way to do it, though. Is it possible to make a CWM flashable version?

Also, to sound even more like a pain Is there another method we can use to d/l these? Having to wait 23 minutes per download is not ideal. I can try to throw them up on a dev host mirror if I get the chance. I'm looking forward to this one. I'm hoping that it runs a bit better than what I'm using (I know the issues are to be expected, I'm talking about when it is running).

When you flash rom you will get cyanoboot and with cyanoboot comes fastboot.
When finish with installing select reboot from recovery, then press n button so cyanoboot stops the rom loading and there you will have the menu.
Volume rockets move the selection, go to fastboot and press n button again.
Now for flashing things from fastboot you need to issue a command.
Example:
Kernel (boot.img)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Recovery:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then issue a reboot command like:
fastboot reboot or flashboot continue.

Where do you issue the command. It does not do anything when I select fast boot.

For fastboot or adb shell to work you need to tweak google sdk drivers to add Nook Tablet specific settings (vendor and device id).
Adb Shell: ID 18d1:6868
Fastboot:ID 18d1:0100

You dont need adb access to flash rom, only custom recovery like cwm/twrp.
