Default .30 update breaks USB ethernet dongle - anyone else?

I use a Clearwire USB 4G dongle with my TF700 - or at least, I used to, before the .30 update. *Since then, when I plug in the dongle, the TF700 recognizes it, and shows Ethernet active as before, but no traffic passes to the 4G network.

The same dongle works fine on other devices.

Does anyone know of a fix or workaround?

I assume that you are rooted? If not, then what program were you using to manage it? I thought it was only working with umts program. If you were rooted then you probably lost root, have you opened superuser after the update?

Using .30 update and USB ethernet right now with no problems. My adapter is:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007RTACDM/

Granted, it's RJ45, not 4G, but still...

I am not rooted. It worked before the .30 update.

No, the beauty of this USB device is that no software is required to manage it. It just (or used to) work when plugged in. It still does, on other devices.
