i also have error status 7, i have installed the 4.0.4 update first using fastboot. i see orange icon on boot

I know why we get error 7.

The ICS Update is not good (SBF). It is SFR France the good SBF to flash with this ota update.

im not sure what you mean.

the link of ICS Update (fastboot flash) is an Orange F Rom and no a SFR Rom, (Vodafone is SFR in France) so if you want apply Vodafone OTA update, you need to have a SFR ICS Rom.
