ATTENTION A110 OWNERS!

If you can get stock recovery using below method, then I shall get cwm posted for this device.

First install terminal emulator on your phone(Your phone must be rooted for this!), then launch and type in:

$ su
# cat /proc/mtd

This should give you an output like:

dev: size erasesize name
mtd0: 00040000 00020000 "misc"
mtd1: 00500000 00020000 "recovery"
mtd2: 00280000 00020000 "boot"
mtd3: 04380000 00020000 "system"
mtd4: 04380000 00020000 "cache"
mtd5: 04ac0000 00020000 "userdata"

Now, check for the "recovery partition" , that is which "mtd" it's on. Here it's on mtd1, it might be different for your phone. With that info type in the terminal emulator(You should have your sdcard inserted before proceeding):

# cat /dev/mtd/mtd1(OR whichever mtd YOUR "recovery" is on) > /sdcard/recovery.img

Now upload that file at some file hosting service, preferably mediafire, and give me the link to it.

Btw, can you add some snapshots so that it can make a good read on my blog? Please post benchmark scores too. Is it based on MT6573/75/77? If yes, then I can arrange a cwm port for it!

Hi!
Screen Shots added as wanted by you. Benchmark scores sometime later. It's based on MediaTek MT6577 1GHz dual-core processor. Hope you'll soon arrange for CWM port for this phone.

Follow my previous post to get it (right above yours).

Right from morning I have been trying to extract the things, both through the computer as well as Terminal Emulator. It's not working. I shall try some other method also.

Once connected with PC, the drivers get installed automatically. No need to search or run around for the same.
Then follow bin4ry method and have your phone rooted!!
Of course at your own risk.

The first time when I ran the bin4ry program it kept running in loop even after choosing restore. The phone did not restart. However a subsequent attempt worked. Thanks man.

Guys,

Does the below make any sense.
(Based on a post related to finding the recovery when not found under /proc/mtd: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1858683)

There is a file called emmc under the /proc folder... below are the contents

partno: start_sect nr_sects partition_name
emmc_p1: 00000020 00000002 "ebr1"
emmc_p2: 0000ac40 00002800 "sec_ro"
emmc_p3: 00010740 00100000 "android"
emmc_p4: 00110f40 00100000 "cache"
emmc_p5: 00211740 00100000 "usrdata"
emmc_p6: 00311f40 0041b8c0 "fat"

And there are the below folders under /dev/block/

d mmcblk0
d mmcblk0boot0
d mmcblk0boot1
d mmcblk0p1
d mmcblk0p2
d mmcblk0p3
d mmcblk0p4
d mmcblk0p5
d mmcblk0p6

I am not able to determine which of the above partition is a recovery one
