Well seeing that the battery stops charging when it reaches capacity I don't think that's an issue. Unless you've modified your charger and kernel to override and force charge than there will be no extra wear on your battery. Once fully charged your phone uses electricity from the outlet and the battery stops charging.

Wow that is totally not true. Who told you that? This is not the nicad days any longer my friend. If a li-ion keeps charging when it gets full, it won't just get damaged, it will explode!

All devices that use Li-ion batteries have circuits that stop the charging when it is full no matter what you have it plugged into.

Also since you thought that, also realize that you do NOT have to run your battery all the way to zero before you recharge it. Continuing to do that will shorten is lifespan. I hope all this helps.
