I wonder if the boot loader will get updated as well. I unlocked mine a while back just case Verizon threw away the nexus

The problem is, I'm not sure he's rooted. I'll find out once he gets back to me. He PMed me yesterday to tell me he got the OTA but he has been quiet since. Stay tuned.

Outside of new radios, i'm going to pass on the bloatware filled "official" release. I'm sticking with custom ROM's, specifically MMuzzyROM.

vzw GNex
Nexus 7
MMuzzyROM 4.2.2
Stock kernel

And what bloatware might that be?

Assume nothing, question everything. Only then will you find the truth.

Galaxy Nexus (I515) - mysid 4.2.2/JDQ39 - Stock/No Root
Xoom US WiFi (MZ604) - My Android 4.2.2 for Xoom (MZ604)

I think he is referring to the Verizon apps that VZW pre-loads into every Verizon Galaxy Nexus.

Exactly... the My Verizon app and the backup assistant. Hardly bloat IMO. Plus, if you don't want to see those two apps, you can always disable them with a couple of taps.

Yes, all 3 of them. Verizon sign in (required for network authentication), backup assistant (for users coming from a device that couldn't be/wasn't connected to a Google account), and My Verizon (so you can monitor account usage and change features on the fly). You can disable the latter 2 of you desire. Hard to consider it bloatware, because it is actually useful.

OK guys...no 4.2.2 OTA coming sadly. El Madhatter informed me that he got the OTA on Tuesday and applied it already. He did provide a screenshot though. There are new radios so we have that to look forward to.

Screenshot attached courtesy of El Madhatter.

Hopefully we will see a public OTA in the coming weeks!!

The radios are all I'm looking for. Any chance of getting those?
